During the Xbox showcase this year we got a lot of great trailers and reveals but one of the big stand-outs was surely High On Life. A surprise but one that was great to see. Squanch Games with the creators of Rick and Morty are diving into the gaming space with this new IP and a number of things are eye-catching from only this first trailer. A broad color palette and an attractive-looking animation made me think of titles attuned to Sunset Overdrive and give me the vibe that you will be able to have fun with this game while not taking things too seriously. I’m sure the story will be this way as well, with comedic moments and some truly outrageous and out-of-the-box moments. The ideas for this game look fresh and the originality puts it ahead of the pack for releases this year, and we are looking forward to its release in October.
